Rebates & Incentives
Get Every Dollar You Qualify For
Heat pump rebates in the South Sound depend on which utility bills you. We track every program — utility, state and federal — and put the numbers in writing before you approve anything.
Heat Pump Savings Estimator
A planning estimate — not a quote
How do you heat today?
Typical winter monthly energy bill
Estimated heating savings
$410–$540/year
Biggest savings — resistance heat costs ~3x what a heat pump does per unit of heat.
On top of this: the federal 25C tax credit can cover 30% of a qualifying install (annual caps apply), and your electric utility may add its own rebate — see the utility guide below.
Rough planning estimate based on typical Northwest usage patterns (assumes roughly half your winter bill is heating). Actual savings depend on your rates, home envelope and equipment. Your written quote — with a real load calculation — is the number that matters.
Your Utility Decides Your Rebate
The South Sound has one of the most fragmented electric-utility maps in Washington. Find the name on your bill below — then let us confirm the current program amounts for your exact install.
Tacoma Power
Tacoma, Fircrest, University Place, parts of Lakewood & Steilacoom, south to Roy

Puget Sound Energy (PSE)
Puyallup, Sumner, Bonney Lake, Orting, DuPont, Federal Way, Auburn, Kent, Renton, and all of Thurston County (Olympia, Lacey, Yelm)

Lakeview Light & Power
Most of Lakewood
Local co-op with its own electrification incentives — and some Lakewood streets are on Tacoma Power instead, so check the name on your bill.
Peninsula Light Company
Gig Harbor peninsula
Member-owned co-op with efficiency and heat pump programs for peninsula homes.
Town of Steilacoom

One of the few municipal electric utilities in the state — incentives are confirmed directly with the Town, and we track what's current.
Parkland Light & Water · Elmhurst Mutual · Ohop Mutual
Parkland, parts of Spanaway, Graham and south-county areas
Small co-ops with programs that vary — tell us which one bills you and we'll confirm before quoting.
Federal 25C Tax Credit — Stacks on Top
The federal Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit covers 30% of a qualifying heat pump installation, up to an annual cap, on top of anything your utility pays. Qualifying equipment must meet specific efficiency floors — which is one more reason equipment selection matters. We supply the certificate and paperwork your tax preparer needs. We Handle the Paperwork
Every written quote itemizes the utility rebate, the federal credit, and any state program you qualify for — verified against the current program terms on the day we quote, not from a stale flyer. After install we file the utility submission for you and hand over the 25C documentation. Combine with financing and the out-of-pocket picture is often far better than homeowners expect. Rebate Questions, Answered
Why does my neighbor's rebate differ from mine?
Rebates are set by your electric utility, and the South Sound has one of the most fragmented utility maps in Washington — two houses a block apart can be billed by different utilities. The name on your bill decides the program.
What is the federal 25C tax credit?
The Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit covers 30% of a qualifying heat pump installation up to an annual cap, claimed on your federal taxes. It stacks on top of utility rebates, and we provide the documentation your tax preparer needs.
Do rebates apply to repairs or only new systems?
Almost all programs target new high-efficiency equipment — usually heat pumps meeting specific efficiency floors. Repairs and like-for-like standard-efficiency swaps generally don't qualify, which is worth factoring into a repair-or-replace decision.
Who files the rebate paperwork?
We do. Every quote itemizes the incentives you qualify for, and we prepare the utility rebate submission and the 25C documentation as part of the job — you never chase forms.
